UGANDA AND RWANDA WILDLIFE TOURS

Uganda is one of the most beautiful countries in Africa with fantastic natural scenery, half of the world’s remaining mountain gorilla population and some of the friendliest people in Africa. It is also a unique and captivating tourist destination straddled across the Equator and perched on the northern shores of Lake Victoria. Most of the country is 1,000 m above sea level and there are three mountainous areas - the Rwenzoris, Mount Elgon and the Virunga volcanoes.

Uganda's Wildlife

Uganda has got wonderful wildlife. Seeing the animals from the yet-untouched and unpolluted habitats can be the most rewarding experience that can be got anytime of year. Uganda's parks and reserves are ideal retreats for the discerning eco-tourists, adventure seekers and holiday makers. Though the country has less wildlife numbers if compared with other countries, the experience from a Ugandan safari is very different to that in some of the parks in South Africa, Kenya and Tanzania. On the safari a variety of world game can be seen. These include a profusion of hippos, herds of elephants, buffaloes, giant forest hogs, the handsome Ugandan kob, sitatungas, zebras among others.
