Day 1: Arrival at the Airport
The guide will pick you depending on the time of arrival and head to Jinja or you may spend the night in Kampala. You can visit some exciting places in Jinja town with our tour guide depending on where you may have arrived. The places in Jinja include; The Source of the Nile and Bujagali Falls. Dinner and overnight at Jinja Nile Resort.
Day 2: Mabira Forest Tour
After breakfast early in the morning, you will visit Mabira Forest for an interesting forest walk, and then have a picnic lunch. They will then enjoy traditional dances by a local women dancing group. There are also other options, such as swimming, boat rides, floating on the robust and mighty Nile. In the evening return for dinner and overnight at Jinja Nile Resort.
Day 3: Sipi Falls & Mt Elgon NP
After an early breakfast, you will travel to Mbale Eastern Uganda and leave for Mt Elgon. You will then be transferred to Sipi Falls. After lunch, hike to the falls and return to your camp next to Sipi Falls for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Kapkwata to Piswa Camp
You will take breakfast and then go for hiking following the Kapkwata Trail. A scenic hike through the bamboo, heath and moorland will get you to the Piswa camp at 2850 meters. You will have breakfast, lunch and dinner in the mountains.
DAY 5: The Hotsprings & Suam Lodge
Trek up to the verge of the calderas through beautiful columns of Lobelia Elgonensis. Visit Hot Springs and Suam Gorge before descending to the hunters cave Camp 3850m.
DAY 6: Wagagai Peak (4321m)
Following breakfast, you will ascend to the top of the calderas to the Wagagai Peak at 4321m. Descend thereafter through the Jackson summit and the Jackson pool. Dinner and overnight at Mude Camp 3500m.
DAY 7: Return Trip to Kampala
Early morning after breakfast, descend through the Sasa trail to Budadiri then travel to Mbale town. Travel to Kampala for your departure. Dinner and overnight at Speke Hotel Kampala
DAY 8: Kampala City Tour & Airport Transfer
You might choose to have a city tour and visit places you didn't go to on arrival. These include the Uganda museum, Kasubi Tombs, National Theatre to buy arts and crafts, and many other places with the help of the driver guide. But this will depend on the time of departure. You will later be transferred to the Airport at your own convenient time.
