3 DAYS BIRDING SAFARI TO MURCHSION FALLS NATIONAL PARK

Day One: Travel to Murchison falls

Wake up and have breakfast then depart to Murchison falls National Park. You will pass through the famous Luwero triangle, Budongo forest which is found on the western arm of the Great Rift Valley. The journey offers you great sceneries that are pleasing to reach the park in the afternoon. You will drive to the top of the falls where you see the beauty of the Nile. Here you will see the calm Nile forcing its self through a narrow Gorge to fall a distance of about 150 ft down producing a thunderous roar of white water- incredible scenery! You will be able to see water birds along the shores of the Nile which may include the following shoebill, goliath heron, saddle-billed stork, grey crowned crane and long-toed plover and many more. Then transfer to board the jetty heading to Paraa Safari Lodge/ Nile Safari Camp (Tented) / Sambia river lodge/ Red Chili Rest camp for dinner and overnight.

Day Two: Birding

Wake up and have breakfast then go for a nature walk Budongo forest. This will reward you with birds like Grey Kestrel, Crested and Heuglin’s Francolins, Black-billed Wood and Vinaceous Doves, Red- Headed Lovebird, Senegal Coucal, Black-lored Babbler, Whistling and Trilling Cisticolas, Black-headed Batis, Sulphur-breasted Bush-Shrike and many more. You will then return and have a Boat cruise in the afternoon. This will take you to the bottom of the falls and it provides an opportunity for you to view some of the water animals like the crocodiles, buffaloes, hippos and plenty of birds too. Dinner and overnight at Paraa safari lodge / Red chilli Rest camp/ Nile Safari Camp / Sambia River lodge.

Day Three: Wildlife and Return to Kampala

You may be able to go for a morning game drive and have an opportunity to see game like elephant, Common Warthog, Giraffe, Buffalo, Bushback, oribi, bohor reedbuck, kob, waterbuck and Kongoni. You will then return to Kampala reaching in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Serena Hotel / Sheraton Hotel (High-end)/Hotel Africana (Mid-range)/ Tourist Hotel (Budget)
